TVIS VELAMMAL VIDYALAYA

TVIS Velammal Vidyalaya established in 2010 is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The school has classes from LKG to X. "Enriching virtues of Competence, Compassion and Commitment" is the motto of the school. School has a strength of 618 students for the academic year 2011 - 12. Each student is given sample opportunity to participate in various club activities and other co-curricular activities.

Dance-Classical, Yoga, Swimming, Skating, Tennis, Music Instrumental, Karate, Band and Dramatics are the extra curricular classes conducted. School has been attached with a hostel for boys and girls from Classes IV onwards. We follow the XSeed pattern of studies upto 5th Std and Cambridge English course is conducted for all classes and ESOL exams are conducted which offers the world most valuable range of qualification and certificates for the leaners of English. IIT-JEE foundation courses are offered for classes VI-X and NTSE preparatory classes are conducted for 8th Std students.

VELAMMAL MATRIC. HR. SEC. SCHOOL, Panchetti made a modest beginning in the year 2003 with a dashing strength of 765 students in the very first year of inception and have witnessed with pride and satisfaction with a steady progress of our school from a mere strength to a mighty institution with 4100 young minds stimulated with 170 staff members.

Hostel

To provide a better education for the students from inaccessible places, we have Hostel facility for the boys from Std.VII on and their stay in the hostel has proved to be fruitful. This home away from homes provides a congenial atmosphere for the students to grow in a healthy manner in every aspect. Full time wardens are appointed to look after their needs with personal attention. The faculty who act as mentors provide them the needed support in academics and in their personal needs.
